The Shorecrest Boys Swim & Dive Team won their sixth consecutive District 1 Championship this weekend!!! There were great swims all around and I love the friendships that have formed on this team and the way they cheer and show up for each other.
Edison didn’t have the time drops he wanted, but given that he started the season by not exercising for two months due to a back sprain and then having to limit his work outs as he continued to recover throughout the season, he did pretty great. He finished fifth in the 200 IM and 100 Back and top four go to state. His time in the 100 Back was good enough to get him a wildcard spot at State next weekend. One more stop on the journey of junior swim season!
The kids and I celebrated their dedication to academics today with “report card lunch.” They are each, in their own way, very committed to their studies and their grades demonstrate that and help keep a ton of options open for their futures!
