DECEMBER - Christmas Trees, Snow, and Skiing!

The kids did ALL the decorating of the Christmas tree this year. It was really fun to listen to them comment on their favorite ornaments and the ones they remembered from other years.

Reed found this one with a picture of him when he was one.
Our school was cancelled for the first time in four years due to snow. The kids totally enjoyed the unexpected snow day and the house looked snug and cozy in the snow.
We headed over to the cabin this weekend and a winter wonderland at Stevens Pass and beyond. This shot is just over the crest of the pass heading east. There is a wayward skiier who'd gone off course from the ski area hiking back up hill.
Ahhhh - a cozy fire in the wood stove!
First day of skiing this season and we met up with Michael and his kids Jenabel and Jasper. Eben had Reed on a harness and Reed did awesome, just went with the flow and felt his skis run. This is a shot of Edison approaching a tuck and Jasper following close behind.

Me and Charlotte, stopping to help Jasper just after he wiped out a couple feet downhill of the other picture.
