We took the kids on their first overnight camping trip last weekend. We went to James Island in the San Juans. It was a "boat in only" state park with a few primitive camp sites. Luckily our friends Matt, Lisa, Robin and James came with us so we were able to have some help! It was a great island, fun to explore and the whole trip was a success (minus the cool weather). We slept in a big tent with the kids - Edison in his own sleeping bag. We are excited it went to so well and are looking forward to more adventures.
Here is Charlotte lounging in the camp chair.
Edison & Daddy at the campfire. Edison got ridiculously dirty camping. Note to self- do not try to save weight by not packing Edison a spare change of pants!
Charlotte is sleeping through the night now (yippy!) and has a lot more awake time during the day. She really likes sitting up on the couch. She is also laughing and I just adore her giggles! She has also now grown into the next size of clothes (3-6 months). I can't believe it!
