We spent an amazing weekend cruising up to Camano Island with Chris and Meg on their 38' Hunter sailboat.
Meg and Liam.
Despite the awesome sailboat, Edison said the highlight was driving the dinghy. It was a giant slumber party for the kids. We put ours to bed in the aft cabin while Chris and Meg were up in v-berth. Charlotte loved the cozy cabin.
After the kids fell asleep and we were ready for bed, we moved them all to the dining room that converts to a bed. Liam is two and still likes his travel bed tent.
Edison is the biggest out of this crew so he got his own bed. Still loves his "bah" (blanket) in the mouth.
All ready for a day on the boat.
Chris took all the kids to check the crab pots. What a guy!
Guess what - we'll be cooking up crab for dinner!
We spent most of Saturday at Camano Island's state park beach. The guys kicked off the morning with a swim in the Puget Sound as a prep for upcoming triathlons.
Meanwhile, Meg and I soaked up the sun on the beach with the kids.
We sailed down to Hat Island in the late afternoon. It was cool to have a following wind and actually get to sail the whole time. We all had a great time and we made it work with the four little ones. Hopefully we will have a few more of these in our future before the kids outgrow the dining room bed!
