Flag Football, Oktoberfest, Grand Daddy's Birthday

Eben coached both Edison and Charlotte's flag football teams this year. He was busy all afternoon every Sunday with the games and practices. It was a lot of stress and work, but the kids report really enjoying flag football and hopefully it was all worth it.

Edison was great on defense and "got lots of flags." He had a few touchdowns, too!

Charlotte was also great on defense and was a fast runner. She also scored a touchdown in her last game!

We celebrated Grand Daddy Herbert's birthday with a yummy carrot cake. I also got to take him to dinner on a different night and enjoy a leisurely time and great conversation which was a very nice way to celebrate.

I took a group of students to a fall leadership weekend conference the second weekend of October. Eben took them out to the cabin and put them to work. They limbed up trees, cut back the growth near the house, and did the fall burning.
Somehow they managed to squeeze in a trip to the Leavenworth Oktoberfest parade.

Reed is doing awesome in kindergarten. Here are some pictures!
