June Excel Swim Meet

We camped out in this cozy corner of the Snohomish Aquatic Center all weekend for both the morning and afternoon sessions of this swim meet. The kids have been training hard and had lots of challenging goals for themselves. They did well overall with a number of best times. 

 

First Aqua Club Swim Meet of 2023!

We're off to a great start with summer swim team. Edison, Charlotte and Reed are very motivated to train hard and race fast and they cheer each other and their friends on while they're at it. It is fun to see Cade step into the role of coach this summer and he is great at encouraging Reed.

Kellogpalooza Field Day and Last Friday of School

I got to volunteer at the middle school field day: Kelloggpalooza on Friday. It was so much fun to see these kids having a good time. They got a bunch of inflatables, had a dunk tank and games and a lot more. I got to manage the line for the inflatable slide. LOL. Later that evening Reed got to keep Adrian company while his parents hosted the 1st grade class party for his little sister and her friends. 

 

Bike Ride Around Lake Union and Pedal Boat Ride on Lake Washington

My family is the best. No matter how hard everything else gets, this is what is important and where we are grounded. I'm glad we made time for a bike ride around Lake Union on Monday - Seattle is beautiful and this is a great way to see a bunch of little pocket vistas of it. We had time after school this week to check out a pedal boat at Sheridan Beach. Reed was so excited as he's been wanting to get in a pedal boat since we saw them in the Tidal Basin in DC. It is just nice to be outside and enjoy our incredible opportunities to connect with nature in our city and connect with each other. We also got to see my dad for Father's Day.
