Reed and I got to see the Mariners defeat the Astros in extra innings for our last Mariners game of the season. We got to see a bunch of games and even though they didn’t make the playoffs again this year, it was still fun to attend and enjoy the ballpark experience (garlic fries, milk shakes, helmet nachos….). Plus we splurged for club seats this time and it was fun to see what that was all about. Reed got out the Rally Shoe for this one and it probably was the winning difference. Being able to ride the Light Rail is a game changer for us being able to go to games like this at the drop of a hat. We also got to celebrate and bid farewell to Rick Rizz - the voice of the Mariners who retired that week. He even caught a foul ball up in his booth!

Girls' Weekend: Forts and Ports
It was a treat to spend a weekend out on Hood Canal with Rachelle and Rebecca in what we are calling the Forts & Ports weekend. We walked miles and miles each day. On Saturday we visited Fort Townsend, Port Townsend, Fort Worden, and Port Gamble and walked about 10 miles combined while enjoying lovely fall views and delicious food in town. We also got to see a lovely sunset down at the beach at Shorewoods on Saturday. Rebecca made berry pancakes and a yummy scramble for us on Sunday. We walked around the neighborhood and soaked in the sunshine and fresh air. What a treat!
