The 2026 summer swim season at Aqua Club was a blur because it just happens so fast! We were lucky to have such a great time with friends and enjoy being part of such a wonderful team community. Highlights include: Celebrating our senior swimmers, many of whom were Edison’s friends that we’ve seen them grow up at the pool; Swimming every dual meet; Going for Dick’s burgers after meets; Sunset shenanigans at Sail Sand Point; Pancake breakfast, pentathlon races, and tie-dye shirts; Johanna having fun with the other Aqua Club officials and making sure the meets ran smoothly and also swimming in the Adult Meet; Charlotte’s 200 Medley Relay Team (Nadalyn, Harper B., Makena) setting a new team record of 1:52.94 at Northern Finals; All three kids earning swims at the big All City Swim Meet; Charlotte finishing 2nd at All City in the 100 Free with a low 55 time; Edison and his 200 Medley Relay having a strong fifth place showing at All City despite a shallow pool and scraped up, bloody feet; Reed’s 200 Medley Relay and 200 Free Relays Teams both WINNING All City (Owen, Matias, Benny) and narrowly missing 50+ year old team records; Aqua Club finishing third at All City after many amazing swims; and Edison winning Maddie’s Coaches’ Award for his cheering on and support for his teammates! Thank you to our incredible coaching staff for another fantastic season and for always modeling how to be the best we can be!

Cabin Farewell Weekend
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for a big farewell weekend at the cabin. Friday night was a small crew of my kids and their friends and we had a solid bunch of mafia games around the fire. On Saturday, we had about 25 of us float the river and have a big BBQ and campfire afterwards. (aka BARF: Big Ass River Float). The cabin was full of good energy, good people, and lots of food! People shared their favorite memories of the cabin and cabin-related things like skiing Stevens with the kids. I got good hugs. I truly felt so loved and supported. If you have ever been able to come out here, you know that the cabin is a healing place and I’ve just felt that so much through how it has brought joy to myself, my family and my friends.
I loved that Edison’s friends came out, drove up to Sugarloaf for sunset, and stayed until Sunday afternoon playing in the river and watching Spain win the World Cup. It was like we were doing all of our favorite things one last time. We even got shakes at the 59er Diner on our way out. However, I think we will be coming back to this valley for years to come, just not to this cabin.
The new owners are a great family who plan to use it much like we did which makes me feel really comforted to know.
