JULY - Family Fourth

Floyd and Kathie hosted a lovely family party to celebrate Independence Day and the birthday boys: Floyd and Edison. Charlotte rocked her watermelon dress.

 So every time we go to a fun event, I make Edison wear his "Party Clothes." He actually is excited about it now, because he knows that usually when he wears his party clothes it means he will be eating cake.

 We love it when Pete, Jennie and Alton can make it these gatherings. Alton and Charlotte enjoyed some nice blanket time together.

 Bestamor was in high spirits.

 Edison is now a big helper, especially in the kitchen.

 He is getting close to reading and likes to look at books on his own.

 On the real Fourth of July we went with Pete and the kids to the Demolition Derby in Monroe. Great people watching, but a little disappointing: less races and events than in years past. I miss the three cars chained together in the figure eight race.
