Edison is now six-years-old. I wholeheartedly agree with A.A. Milne's poem about this age.
Edison wanted a big party with his friends with lots of games - and water play - and prizes - and candy - and a Star Wars cake - and ice cream - and fireworks - and Legos - and Doritos...... Perfect opportunity to teach wants and needs and the fact that you can't always get what you want - even on your birthday, sadly. Anyway, I did my best to give him a great birthday party with most of what he wanted. The Slip 'n' Slide was a huge hit. This was also our housewarming party and we had a blast, too!"Now We Are Six"
When I was one,
I had just begun.
When I was two,
I was nearly new.
When I was three,
I was hardly me.
When I was four,
I was not much more.
When I was five,
I was just alive.
But now I am six,
I'm as clever as clever.
So I think I'll be six
now and forever.
Reed got to bond with cousin Evie, who - at Charlotte's birthday couldn't even sit by herself and now she is crawling. Reed is slightly jealous - I might be too, but having a baby just sit on a blanket in a park during the summer months is pretty awesome.
Miss Janine came to the party. Edison was actually excited about it despite the face he is showing at this moment. She brought Charlotte nail polish which was a huge hit.
They were out of Star Wars cake decorating kits at QFC. Darn! But they did have Angry Birds which still pleased Edison. Here he is surrounded by his two good friends, Dillon and Liam.
