Spring Break - San Diego #2 - Lego Land!

The kids were beyond excited to go to Lego Land (me too)!
This is Mini Land, USA and features models of DC, New Orleans, NYC and San Francisco. Pretty cool!

The first item on the agenda was to check out the Lego Star Wars exhibit. It was pretty neat.

The kids took their picture with each of these Lego Star Wars figures - I think there were at least 12. Additionally, the exhibit featured a lego version of a scene from each movie - come to life at the push of a button and about 10'x15' in size. Reed loved pushing the buttons.

 Next up - rides!
Charlotte braved the biggest roller coaster in the park. Gotta love her face in this picture!

There were a few rides Reed could do, including this boat tour.
Driving school was a huge hit - the kids got to drive their own electric vehicles around a course laid out like real streets complete with stop signs and traffic lights. Edison was just about the only kid who paid attention to the rules of the road. I wish we'd gotten a picture of him pointing out a stop sign to another driver who'd just ignored it.

After lunch we hit the water park! Reed LOVED being in the water and they had it heated to a nice temperature.

After the water park we hit the rides again. This one was "Skipper School" and kids got to drive their own boats. Edison had some trouble with over-steering so this was round #2 with dad.

It was a fabulous day! We made it open to close!
