Labor Day - Top of the World - Wenatchee River - Sugarloaf Peak - Beckler Peak

I got to play out at the cabin with Sara and Scott for Labor Day weekend. We enjoyed a relaxed float on the Upper Wenatchee on a day that was made for floating the river.

On Sunday I met up with my old friend, Brett, to hike Beckler Peak. I hadn't even heard of the hike before and it was not too far off of Highway 2. It provided stunning views of Glacier Peak and other local mountains. Best of all, I got to catch up with Brett and am so glad to know he's doing well.

That night, Sara, Scott and I drove his new truck up to Sugarloaf Lookout to catch sunset over Lake Wenatchee and the Cascades. It was stunning - and very, very windy. The kind of wind you can lean your whole body into and not fall over.
