Utah Vacation - Day 2: Bryce in the Morning

We woke up early (not early enough to catch sunrise as we'd intended...) and headed to the southern point of the park, Rainbow Point. Then worked our way back and stopped at all the view points along the rim. It was a really cool way to see the park. The one "out of order" stop was turning into Natural Bridge first thing as we were the only ones there and the way the sun was hitting it was just perfect.

Rainbow Point - looking north at the rim line and all the hoo doos.

Yovimpa Point looking south.

More cool formations - windows, bridges, and hoo doos of course.

Bryce Point was incredible - it is at the southern end of the most visited part of the rim and looks north to the intricate hoo doos of Queen's Garden and Navajo Loop, etc.

We had time for a hike down to Queen's Garden as our last part of our Bryce visit. It was incredible and I wished we had enough time to hike all day. But alas, we will have to return! Looking at the hoo doos is one thing - actually hiking through them is really fascinating and awe inspiring.
