Foss River Lakes Hike

After cleaning the cabin to prep for guests, I camped out at Nason Creek and enjoyed a beautiful sunset walk and moonrise over Lake Wenatchee. The next day, I went on a 12-mile hike on the West Fork Foss Lakes Trail. Due to a big snow year and cold spring, there was still snow starting at 4000' and stolen streams to cross which made the hike a lot more challenging. The trail followed the West Fork of the Foss and the trail gave lots of great views of Copper Falls.

Trout Lake - plenty of camping only 1.5 miles in.

Copper Falls

Lake Malachite was buried in snow. No camp spots here. I ran into Dorothy and Jason which was super fun and surprising!

Crossing the outlet of Copper Lake - had to put Tevas on for this one.

Copper Lake - snow capped peaks and pollen pattern on the water.

More hiking on the snow - pretty much all on snow after Copper Lake

Upper Heart Lake hasn't melted out yet.
