Shout out to Madison Doty and the ASB/Leadership students of Marysville-Pilchuck for hosting 1000+ students from 25 high schools for an outstanding leadership conference today! You brought the energy and joy out in all of us! Thanks to Theresa Borgford and her MG crew for supporting and the cool posters!

When's the last time I bragged about what a cool job I get to do? Empowering students is the most awesome thing EVER!!! And I get to work with some really awesome colleagues! I will never take this work for granted!

 

Washington Coast Getaway: Days 3 & 4

We got to listen to the rain pelt the windows and the wind blow like crazy Friday night. But by Saturday morning, the storm had mostly passed. After a lazy morning around the house, we headed back north to Seabrook again so Todd and Katie could visit friends and we wanted to let the kids check out the arcade. The kids and I got a nice beach walk in while we were there.

After the arcade, we drove out to the beach. Edison and Charlotte had a blast driving on the beach. Charlotte’s face radiated pure joy! She was a really smooth driver, too.

Back at the ranch, we hit the hot tub, watched the UW win against Utah, finished the puzzle, and cozied up by the fire. We were impressed when the boys went for a dip in the ocean!

Washington Coast Getaway: Days 1 & 2

Wonderful start to a long weekend getaway to the coast with Katie and Todd and our families. Our airbnb is beautiful and comfy and is a great place to hunker down with the big wind and rains we've been having. The house overlooks the dunes and it is a short walk out to the beach. Their doggie, Nina, is in heaven running up and down chasing after the birds. We saw a couple cool eagles on our walk yesterday.

In addition to beach and hot tub time, we've been puzzling, playing arcade games, playing poker, reading, and ventured up to Seabrook for a glass of wine at the Stowaway.
