It was a beautifully full week with lots to celebrate! Grateful for this life and the people we are fortunate to share it with.
1.Charlotte's first KMS basketball game. She is playing hard and learning quickly.
2. I enjoyed a wonderful night with Rebecca and Rachelle - toasting Rebecca's big birthday (she is an absolute rock star of a woman!!!!) at the Loft in Edmonds and following up with an 80s Metal cover band - Platinum Spandex - including bumping into Saul, too.
3. Edison and his small strings ensemble, CANE, played a fun tango in the SKMEA Orchestra Fest and got great feedback from their adjudicator.
4 . We skied Stevens Saturday afternoon just for fun - conditions were subpar.
5. R&R at the cabin including hot tub time.
6. We skied Stevens Sunday with swim team friends (the Reids and Kurcinkas) and had so much fun!
On Sunday, the conditions Stevens Pass were good, all things considered - as long as you stuck to the groomers and didn't complain about closed terrain. We saw lots of avalanches in-bound that had been deliberately triggered by ski patrol earlier in the week to break off the storm slab on top that had soaked in all the rain. I've never seen anything like it.
