I spent a beautiful weekend in Portland with James - eating at delicious restaurants, scoring finds at thrift stores, having a sunny picnic in Washington Park, and going out dancing. Edison and Charlotte were also in Oregon - they got to travel with the Shorecrest Track & Field Team to Eugene to compete in the elite Oregon Relays Invitational Meet in the discus and Charlotte also ran the lead-off leg of the 4x400. While they didn't get PRs, they got to experience a really competitive meet in an incredible stadium and scored 14th and 21st places in the meet in the discus and were at the top of their grade-level in competition. Also - photo dump of an amazing last week... final ski day of the year with Stephanie and Sadie, swim meet in Anacortes and giant donuts with Owen, dual track meet with PRs (Charlotte threw a 107'2" in discus and Edison threw a 43'5" in shot put), and an early birthday dinner with Rebecca and Rachelle at Fire and the Feast in Edmonds. I am feeling grateful for all these blessings and wonderful people in my life.
