Bluebird Ski Days at Stevens and Baker

After one powder day in early January, it has been bluebird days on groomers as the only option since we haven't had a drop of precipitation in more than two weeks. I'm choosing to make the best of it - because any day with skiing involved is a good day! Luckily, sunshine and groomers and time with friends is a pretty great combo! MLK Weekend we were able to ski with a lot of friends: Josh, Grace, and Owen as well as Amy, Jenabel and Jasper. And we ran into even more friends up on the mountain which was fun. Owen was a great friend and he and Reed were two peas in a pod all weekend at the cabin. We caught some fun fireworks in Leavenworth at Winter Karnival, too. I was able to get up to Mount Baker for the first time in a looooong time with Jessica and her friend, Kirstin, who is a rockstar skier and has a cabin in Glacier. Kirstin was a phenomenal host and I definitely fell for tge charm of Glacier and Baker! Though much anything off the groomers was rock solid and off limits, we still had a great sunny Saturday up there that felt like midweek skiing since so few people were on the mountain. I'm up to 10 days of skiing this season and have loved every minute!
