The afternoon that school let out we headed over to the
cabin and had a fun family weekend with Nana, Pete and Alton, and Floyd and
Kathie. We set up two rafting trips on Saturday – the morning trip was on the
main section of the Wenatchee and we took Edison on this for the first time as
well as Floyd and Kathie. Pete and I were up front and it was the perfect level
(8000 cfs) with a ton of great rapids and whitewater. In the afternoon we took
everyone and floated the upper Wenatchee by our cabin. So much fun!
On Sunday morning we stopped at Lake Wenatchee for some
kayaking before heading home. The kids had a good time paddling around – Edison
by himself, Charlotte with Kathie, and Reed with Nana.
Meanwhile at home on a hot Sunday afternoon we took the boat out and had friends Bill and Katie who were visiting from DC out on it for dinner. The kids experimented with tubing and this time Reed liked it.
