Shorecrest and the Garden

One of my favorite times of the school year is all of the festivities culminating in graduation of our senior class. Caen Laida is our moving forward assembly and celebrates the senior class. A number of alumni come back each year to watch their younger siblings or to be part of the events. It was awesome to catch up with all these spectacular alums at the reception following the assembly. And it was touching to say goodbye for now and best wishes to all of the seniors I’ve come to know and care about.
With my gal, Arielle, four-year leadership junkie. Can't say enough about what a lovely young woman she has become!

Following graduation, we regroup with our new group of leaders and have a little fun while we close out the year. Here are the underclassmen I had left in leadership class after our seniors left.

We planted a garden and it is now producing strawberries and snap peas with abandon. Good thing the kids go out to check on it every morning!
