After almost an entire year, Charlotte and Reed returned to in person school. It is still hybrid (they only go mornings and have remote instruction in the afternoons), but it is so so so wonderful to see them happy and engaged. They love walking to and from school and we talk over everything they did each lunch together.
Reed is really starting to get going on reading which is fabulous!
Nana came to help with the kids Wednesday when I had conferences back-to-back from 1:00-7:00 on Wednesday. She and Charlotte made crepes for dinner. Charlotte is now able to make them all by herself and has made them for lunch a couple times since then!
We introduced Nana to Dixit. She loved it. And it was great just to hang out.
We've had some great sunshine the past week. It makes swimming at Aqua Club almost feel like summertime.
Reed started doing his afternoon classes outside and would play basketball during the breaks.
Reed's teacher, Cally, is very impressed with his work. Reed wanted to write the most in class. Just as we always suspected, he can totally do it, just needs the motivation. Apparently being in class with his peers is a huge motivator! Yay!
This is his desk in class and an engineering project he had to build a ramp.
