Hiking / Speaking at SERVUS Conference / St. Patrick's Day

It is starting to feel like spring and every now and then we have a lovely day. On this particular day, I hiked the Index Town Wall and was treated to snowy mountain tops and a surreal view down to the Index Valley below.

I got to follow that hike up with a delicious dinner at Salish Sea Brewery in Edmonds with Sara and Scott. Perfecto!

Excited to share that I was invited to speak at the SERVUS Leadership conference this month. Writing the speech flowed and felt like a culmination of a lot of ideas that have been circulating in my head lately. It was fun to share the day with my students on a "virtual field trip" and hear that it actually was a meaningful talk and impacted them positively. Here's to saying "yes!" Here's the video. It was also really cool to be supported by my principal with flowers!

I made my first balloon arch ever. Can't believe I got away with that for 10 years! We had a fun day at Shorecrest on St. Patrick's Day, handing out school materials and a cupcake for everyone!

Reed made a leprechaun trap and caught a leprechaun the next day, "Joe." He left it up the the next night and caught another leprechaun who left him a box of cupcakes! Awesome!

Reed is now eager to help out with pancakes and waffles. Here is his first successful pancake morning as tutored by his big sister.
