Lake Quinault - Part Three

The next day we went for a beach hike at Ruby Beach out on the coast. It was enchanting - beauty at every turn. I couldn't stop myself from taking a lot of pictures - these are just the best ones.

On the drive home we stopped at "The World's Largest Sitka Spruce." It was in some ways not as big as I though it would be (not as tall) but then in other ways - incredibly large. It was cool to touch its bark and think it has been alive for hundreds of years already and hundreds of years to come. There are many exceptional trees on the Olympic Peninsula due to how much water they get in the rain forest.

Back at the lodge we chilled and enjoyed the sunshine. There was football, more rolling down the hill, a pizza dinner, s'mores and sunshine.

Followed by more swimming - of course.
And a cozy night to end with in the lodge playing games.
