Icicle Gorge and Pre-Halloween Fun

We did a little bit of everything this weekend! We went to the cabin Friday- played games, hot tubbed, and watched Hocus Pocus in front of a roaring fire in the wood stove.
Saturday we hiked Icicle Gorge and were treated to stunning views of bright yellow larches, alders, and maples set against evergreens with the bright white of our first snowfall on the peaks. Ice cream at Sleeping Lady afterwards.
The kids loved the Saturday swim practice at View Ridge - it was a fun and new challenge for them with the longest practice time they've done. Then mama got to go out and dance like crazy with Rebecca at the "Who’s Your Daddy" show. It was so fun hanging with the mamas and enjoying the great tunes. Hats off to the band and especially the guest Vanilla Ice (aka Amy B) for a special cameo!
Sunday held a costumed-up lacrosse practice and down time at the house with the neighborhood’s Halloween Parade stopping by. I definitely appreciate living in this great neighborhood!
