James and I had THE BEST getaway at the cabin this past weekend. We learned how to cross country ski - something I’ve been wanting to try for a long time. We even ran into Amy on the XC trails - so fun. I really liked showing James the cabin and sharing my happy place with him. I got to take him to Wildflour to try to the roasted mushroom appetizer. We also went out in Leavenworth on Saturday evening and participated in the “Fasching” event which is like German Mardi Gras (who knew?!). In addition to checking out the scene at Ducks and Drakes, we ended the night singing karaoke at the Post Office Tavern, something I haven’t done in forever! We had a chill Sunday: slept in, had a late breakfast at Old Mill Cafe and cleaned the cabin before stopping at Lake Wenatchee on the way home. We had a million conversations about everything under the sun. It was truly the best weekend I could have ever imagined!
