We were so fortunate to be able to spend a weekend with good
friends Trent and Rachelle at their cabin on the Hood Canal. Heidi, Max, and
Maggie were there, too. The kids slept in tents outside which was fun for them.
We had big beach fires each night and ate delicious food. We went for beach
walks and played at the pool. A highlight was Trent’s construction of a giant
slip and slide using plastic sheeting, a hill side, dish soap and inflatables.
This summer I am trying to get out of my comfort zone and try new things. So of
course I had to try the slip and slide. It was actually a ton of fun and super
hilarious just to be a part of it all. I will definitely cherish that time with
friends and the amazing sunsets across the water at the beach.
