Swim Across Lake Washington & Dinner with Katie

Part of my saying "yes," to more things involved this challenge of swimming across Lake Washington. I am really glad I did it, the swimming part was easy, it was the cold and dark of the lake as well as the waves and disorientation that made it hard. It is a fun annual tradition at Sheridan Beach - many volunteers run support in boats and kayaks. The boats take the swimmers across the lake and we swim back to the beach - a little over a mile - and have pastries and hot tea afterwards. I actually enjoyed it and hope to make it an end of summer tradition.

And to cap off a great day, Katie and I went out for a delicious dinner at Salt & Iron in Edmonds. She is rad and we had a great time!
