Hawaii - Day 7: North Coast and Kohala Beaches with the Cousins and New Year's Eve Flight

Our final day in Hawaii was New Year's Eve. We did an exploration day with Jason and Tabby and their kids. We went up north to Pololu overlook. We'd hoped to hike down to it, but it was going to be too hard for Nana and the little boys. But I'm so glad we saw it and the vegetation at the point in the island was very lush and interesting.

We stopped at Keokea, a small beach nearby, for lunch and some playtime in a stream and on the rocks. Then went to Tropical Dreams in Hawi for locally made ice cream and sorbet. Then to Spencer Beach for some beach time with the cousins. We hit the clubhouse pool again in the late afternoon. Then went to Jason and Tabby's for dinner. The cousins played tag on the big lawn and we got to enjoy the final sunset of 2022 from the balcony. It was divine. Our flight home was delayed, but we did make it out, slept a little, and got home safely to start the New Year. What an incredible vacation!!! Look for the kids' favorites at the end of this post!
