Sun Valley magic. Time to re-set after a school year that is finding me needing to fill the tank back up with energy and patience and joy. This is my first time coming in the summer - have been once before to ski. It is absolutely incredible.
My plan is to do LONG day hikes, use my packraft ton a few mountain lakes, hit up some hot springs, and check out the local scene.
Today was Hell Roaring and Lake Imogene. Clocked just under 23 miles - not bad for the first hike of the season! The valleys are incredible, the sandy pink granite is everywhere, there is water EVERYWHERE so much gushing and rushing to the rivers. I feel so much gratitude to be able to be here, to have legs that will carry me far into the wilderness and bring me home. We live in so much beauty!
Also took another walk tonight just to roll 50,000 steps and get my highest step total ever. Its the little things. Two casualties: my right pinky toe has a blister and I have a giant blood blister on my left inside heel. Not sure how I'll keep this up.
