Our big splurge this fall was getting tickets for the NFL season opener & Super Bowl re-match between the Seahawks and the Patriots. We were a family divided with myself and Reed in Seattle jerseys and Edison and Charlotte in Patriots gear. The Seattle Quarterback, Sam Darnold, got hurt early and the Patriots took an early lead. But the Seahawks battled back in the second half and ended up with the win in stunning fashion. The stadium was packed and the crowd was electric - standing and maximum volume required for all defensive plays. It was definitely exciting to attend!
We towed the camper with the truck for the first time when the boys and I took it to Fort Casey for a little getaway. We had some trouble with the rear differential, but Edison did an incredible job troubleshooting the problem and we were able to get a few things patched up to limp home the next day. So we missed the time at the Fort, but it was still fun to be out by the water.
