Camping at Jones Island - 2

A beautiful sunny morning!
We headed northwest to Stuart Island to go for a hike out to the lighthouse at Turn Point. We'd never done it before and we wanted to explore a little bit.
The walk down the country lane and forested path was pleasant but strenuous.
The views from the top of the hill were worth it!

The now-automated Turn Point Lighthouse has been turned into an excellent museum that is run by a volunteer society. They have also fully restored the lighthouse keeper's home to period detail and it was really cool to take a tour of it.

This is a small county dock at Stuart Island and Mount Baker is in the background.
Ahhhh - coming back to our beautiful camp spot. Can you find the tent?
On Saturday we took the boat on a lap around San Juan Island. The highlight was seeing Lime Kiln Point lighthouse.

We stopped at Roche Harbor on the way back and got ice cream! Yum!

 Back at camp!

We will be sad to leave this lovely place!
