Record Snowfall at the Cabin

Plain got record snowfall early this January. Four feet of snow fell in three days. It was massive and I felt helpless as I watched it pile up on the cabin's security cameras. The power went out for awhile, but luckily not more than 24 hours. I wanted to get over there so bad to dig out, check on things, and to just be in it. But Highway 2 and Stevens Pass were closed for six days before they were able to clear that enough to let cars through.
Digging out was insane. By the time I got the cabin about 10 days after the snow, everything had slid off the roof, which was great, other than it created an 8' wall around the house that I had to dig through to access the hot tub and also had to clear out the areas by the windows. But I got it done and the cabin is doing well even with snow as high as the hot tub. Gone are the picnic table and fire pit. I guess I'll see them in the spring!

Huge shout out to Steve for the plow job!
