Easter, Johanna's Birthday, Birger Solberg Invite

On the day of my 47th birthday, I got to celebrate by going out for a nice dinner and to a swanky speakeasy with James. That weekend, we went up to Bellingham to watch Edison, Charlotte, and the SC Track and Field Team compete at the Birger Solberg Invitational. Nana, Floyd and Kathie all came out to watch them, too. Charlotte won the discus and Edison placed high in the shot put, but fouled out in the discus. The steady rain all day did no one any favors. That night Floyd and Kathie made a really nice dinner for us and we were able to celebrate my birthday together with them which was very special. My birthday weekend wrapped up with a spontaneous Mariners game on Sunday afternoon. It is so easy to ride the light rail down that doing something spur or the moment like this because it was a beautiful, sunny day and we didn't have much going on, was very do-able. We got to the see the Mariners' new 2025 AL West Champions banner hung up - the one they earned at the 15-inning game we were at. We also saw the new Ichiro statue and it is always a good day when the Mariners get a win! The Easter Bunny managed to find the kids again this year - some traditions never get old.
