June Happenings

Charlotte's class did a "wax museum" again. This year she chose to be Amelia Earhart. She did a ton of research and made a book, too.
 Keira was Sally Ride.
Harper was Ruth Bader Ginsberg and Bryn was Michelle Obama.
We also had the Birgfeld's out to the cabin for a rafting weekend. Super fun! But didn't take any pictures :-(
Our book club had our end of the year celebration on Amy's lovely deck. We are on hiatus for the summer but I am already looking forward to finding out our new books for next year!
Our Social Studies department at Shorecrest had a delightful gathering at Stephen and Kristi's newly remodeled house on Queen Anne. They had our culinary arts teacher, Tammi, cater for us and she did an amazing job (even made a special meal for me - wheatberries and morels - mmmmm).

We went camping at Larrabee State Park near Bellingham with the Meyers, Andreassons, and Barrs. It was so beautiful out there. But the highlight for me was that Frederick brought his guitar and we sang so many songs by the campfire. I was in heaven.
A short hike to Fragrance Lake for some fishing and sunbathing on a log.
Edison had his concert. Very fun to see these kids grow up each year.
