State Math Competition and Friends at the Cabin

Edison traveled to Moses Lake with the Ridgecrest Fourth Grade math team for the state math championships. Tahiroh was the amazing leader of the expedition. The boys all had a great time and Edison can't wait for another math team season next year.

Meanwhile, Eben and I spent our anniversary doing a trip on the Wenatchee, just the two of us. Thanks to Chris for watching our kids and making it possible. This photo was taken at Drunkard's Drop where there is sometimes a photographer staged to take everyone's pictures.
Everyone met up at the cabin after the big day's events. The rest of the the families joined in, so we had the Andreassons and Barrs together for a giant Family Fun Weekend.
Susie and Tahiroh are great company and Eben built a roaring fire.
These kiddos played really well together all weekend.
Ahhhhh - this is what the cabin is all about. Friends, fire, and good company.
On Sunday we took everyone down the lower Wenatchee, a trip that the kids hadn't yet done. Eben took all eight kids in the oar frame while I guided the adults. It was big water, great waves, and lots of fun!

Check out these photo-videos of our hits on Drunkard's Drop! They were epic!
