DAY ONE: Made it to Park City Ski Resort in Utah!!! Woke up at 3:30 AM, at the airport an hour later, took off at 6:45 AM and on the slopes by noon (lost an hour going to mountain time). Skied half the day at Park City. They got a bunch of snow last weekend and it is in great shape! It was 40F and felt like spring skiing. We really enjoyed lunch on the deck overlooking the valley - such a treat and SO DIFFERENT than PNW skiing.
We are staying in the same condo area as last year (Red Pine on the Canyons side) and are enjoying the pool / hot tub. It is Sundance Film Festival weekend which is kind of cool and also means less people on the slopes. Sweet!
Today was a good day for a good day!!!!
DAY TWO: Park City 2024, Day 2! We went from blue skies and views for miles to a snow storm white out by midday. Fun to have fresh snow! We skied the Canyons side today and it was awesome! We really like the groomers through The Colony that go over bridges and under tunnels. After lunch at Cloud 9, we rode the 9990' lift and skied the double blacks into powder that is still pretty great from earlier in the week. We finished the day moving over to the Orange Bubble side and wrapped up with the terrain park. I overcame my fear of tow ropes. When the skiing finished, we caught a super easy shuttle back to the condo, chilled there, and then soaked up with the pool and hot tub. Now concluding it all watching Mama Mia and having a bit of a sing along. Good ski vibes with these awesome kids!
