What a big day! We started with an amazing breakfast at the hotel before heading up ski the morning at Kimberley Resort. They have one main express chair with about 2000’ vertical and a few smaller chairs branching off. It was a clear, dry day and it was really fun just to explore and take in the views of the valley and the mountains across the way. They have done a great job maintaining groomers and we had more fun skiing than we expected to have.
After stopping back at the hotel to pack up and eat lunch, we drove about an hour north to Lussier Hot Springs. After turning off the water highway, it was 11 white-knuckle miles on a snowy forest road. We were not alone, but the four soaking tubs accommodated everyone and we were able to find a relaxing spot to enjoy the experience. After that amazing afternoon soak, we headed another two hours north along the Kootenay and Columbia Rivers and marveled at the magnificent snowy mountains on either side of the valley. We even saw big horn sheep! We ended in our ski in/out amazing condo at Kicking Horse Resort high above the town of Golden, BC. Rachelle made an incredible chili dinner and we are chilling in front of the fire watching Pitch Perfect. Ahhhhhh!
