Edison and Charlotte had a fantastic WESCO South Champs Meet despite the chilly temps. No PRs, but definitely solid performances and Charlotte had a surprising season best in the javelin of 97’ to narrowly edge out a competitive field and place second in that event. She also placed second in discus, staying calm under pressure. Edison took first in the discus and the shot put. It was really fun to see his teammate Jacob on the podium with him in both events, with them going 1-2 in the shot put. The SC Throws athletes and coaches are a supportive and encouraging group and we appreciate the little family they have created. We will especially miss senior captain, Gabby Quiles as she moves on to college next year. Next up: Districts next week.
