It was a chilly morning, but we were cozy in the camper and ate breakfast at its dinette which felt very novel after so many years of tent camping. The kids began home learning items and rode bikes around the campground. We eventually got organized and headed up to a viewing area for Dry Falls, which is an ice-age remains of a waterfall four-times the size of Niagara Falls, with incredible cliffs and geological formations. The kids enjoyed learning about the geology and history of the special spot. After lunch we headed south to Lake Lenore Caves and had fun exploring numerous caves in a chain of the same coulee as Dry Falls. I think the kids enjoyed hiking to the rim of the coulee and looking down at the chain of lakes below. Nana left for home after this portion. We also checked out Soap Lake and its interesting mineral content and texture before heading back to camp. We played mini golf back at Sun Lakes and the kids were equal parts frustrated by it while at the same time enjoying the challenge. It was interesting to watch them work through different frustrations and try to remain calm and collected - definitely a skill we can all improve at! The end verdict was that they all enjoyed it. Charlotte popped a bike tire and she and Reed began to practice riding two of them on his bike which was hilarious. We had a beautiful fire, tons of stars, and toasted marshmallows to cap off the night.
