MARCH - Kitsap Peninsula Swim Meet - PPST March Madness

All-weekend swim meets can be a lot. But we’ve had a great time at the PPST March Madness meet. We headed to the Kitsap Peninsula Friday night and have enjoyed the views of Dyes Inlet from our hotel room.
The kids have been swimming their hearts out and are dropping time like crazy in so many of their events. It’s a joy to watch them achieve their swim goals and be proud that their hard work at practice all season is paying dividends. I also like seeing them cheer for each other and their teammates and bond as siblings around the pool deck. Bonus - heat winners get to choose a ducky and that’s always a fun motivator.
And I got to catch up with my swim buddy, Erica, from when I was a teenager while we cheered on all our kids in the pool! Full circe!
We also got to head into the brick and mortar version of one of my favorite online retailers- Sierra Trading Post. Too much good stuff there!!
Finally we celebrated the kids all having excellent semester report cards with a dinner out of their choosing. Olive Garden for the win!!! (It’s the breadsticks every time.)
Now we’re deep into day 2 and the kids’ swimming is super impressive. Glad we went all in on this one!
