All About Reed

Reed is now eight months. He has two bottom teeth and gobbles up his baby food. He can sit up by himself and play with his toys. He likes the exersaucer and the bouncer. He is a fledgling Jedi who plays with Edison's light saber when Edison isn't looking. Most of all though, he is a super happy baby who giggles ALL the time. It really is remarkable. The video is a clip of him laughing hysterically at a moving napkin - video courtesy of our nanny, Janine.

Catching Up - Spring Break Pictures from April

We spent Spring Break at Nana's pool. The kids have come a long way with their swimming and they can both manage by themselves in the water which makes me so proud of them! And they love going swimming with Nana! We even got Reed in for a little dip.

Charlotte found this fleece jacket in her closet. It is actually one that my mom made for me to wear in Aunt Kirstie and Uncle Peter's wedding when I was four. It is so fun to see her wearing it now.

The highlight of Spring Break was hosting my extended family at the cabin for the weekend. It was our first get together since Christmas and we had a lot of birthdays and anniversaries to celebrate. The cabin managed the crowd pretty well and it was fun to spend quality time together playing cards and walking in the woods.

MAY - We Sold Our House!

After worrying about selling this house for quite awhile, the process turned out to be slightly easier than we expected. We got a great agent, worked extremely hard to prep the house by packing away a lot of our stuff in the garage, staged it ourselves and manicured the yard. After all of that work, and the amazing pictures that were taken, it went on the market and got three offers after only two days. It passed the housing inspection and now we are just pending until the closing date June 6. So - all is good on that front. But, we will be homeless in about a month and haven't found the right house yet in the Shoreline/Lake Forest Park area. Wish us luck! We might be living at the cabin all summer...

We are going to miss living here. It has been a wonderful home for us for the past 10 years. We've started our family here and will have fond memories always. We also have some terrific neighbors that we will miss, especially Marlene. Johanna grew up in this house and it will feel strange to not have it in the family anymore. But the people buying it wrote us a lovely letter about how they fell in love with it when they toured it. So it sounds like it will be starting a fruitful new chapter of its life.
