Charlotte's 11th Birthday

For her eleventh birthday, Charlotte wanted to have a swim party with her favorite friends - so that is what we did. We were glad to be joined by Harper, Bryn, Sophie, and Eva at the Aqua Club on a 90 degree day! She is growing up so fast and it is so fulfilling to share these moments with her!

Memorial Day Weekend!

We got to celebrate Charlotte's birthday in style! She is now 11!!

She wanted to get lunch at Kidd Valley - definitely enjoys the milkshakes there - and we combined that with a swim at Aqua Club since it was 80 degrees!

After Aqua Club, we went to the Civic Club with Sully, Kellan, and his parents. The day could not get any better!

The kids finished it off with a YMCA jump!

It is fun to catch their evening swim practices now - so much goings on in this little pool.

And in other news, we got a new couch for our house and Reed gives it his full approval.

Paddling Across Hood Canal!

After the Gala, the kids went to their dad's for the day. I got to go to Trent & Rachelle' cabin and test out my new paddle board. Subarus only. Nothing beats a paddleboard test run like going two miles across Hood Canal for the maiden voyage. LOL!

In the interest of norming and full confession - I definitely fell right on into the water very near the start of the paddle. D'oh! Just up and had a weird startle and fell clean off the board. Luckily I was wearing my wetsuit - hopped right back on and kept going!

We paddled over to Point Hannon on Hood Head - about two miles. Definitely felt proud of that. We saw porpoises and seals... and a wooden dragon.

Afterwards we hit the pool and went for a walk over to Driftwood Keys. Of course, it took until 5:00 for the weather to get nice... just about when I had to leave - but we'll take it!

Shorecrest Senior Gala!!! And ASB End of Year Banquet

After more than a year of not being able to host anything in person due to COVID, we finally got a chance to put together one amazing night for our seniors. The Senior Gala combined our Academic Awards Night, Caen Laida end of year assembly, Annual Day, and Senior Prom into one great night. We only had three weeks to pull it all together and to make the school look "not like school" and I think it was a smashing success. So glad we could give this night to our seniors of 2021!

Bo is retiring - so so so touching of a moment.

DJ Daniel Nzanga in the house!

We also wrapped up the year with an in person (!!) End of the Year Celebration for ASB officers. We got to welcome the Freshmen (so cute and goofy) and say goodbye to our wonderful team of seniors who carried us through the incredibly difficult year.
