Weekly Re-Cap of the best things at the start of June:
- Edison went to Salty's with Sadie Prichard's family - I love those two together!
- James and I explored Fremont, including the mandatory giant Lenin statue selfie.
- Reed had his first (and last, sadly) orchestra concert - his focus was impressive.
- I was happy to chaperone the Shorecrest grads to their home elementary, Brookside, for their grad walk. This will be my last one with Reed still there. I felt like a rockstar when Reed's friends started chanting my name "Reed's Mom" and cheering loudly for me as I came down the hallway.
- We had a lovely Caen Laida "moving forward" assembly for the class of 2025. Edison and Charlotte were looking forward to it and we all got dressed up!
- Charlotte was surprise-kidnapped by the Flag Team for an overnight bonding on Friday. It was hard to keep the secret and pack a bag for her with everything she'd need, but she told me I did well and she had so much fun with her new teammates.
- Aqua Club had Time Trials on Saturday and it was so nice to see all my favorite summer people supporting kids in this activity at the pool.
- Amy and I went to Magnuson Brewery on Saturday for some great people watching from the porch and much-needed catch up time.
- Reed went to spend the afternoon with Kellen and have a sleepover. This included going to watch Kellen's basketball game that afternoon. Reed ended up playing in the game because they were short players which ended up being a great experience.
- The Kurcinkas invited us on their boat today - the perfect activity for an 85 degree day. The kids had a lot of fun tubing and swimming off the boat while I got to chat with Betsy and Josh. Reed ended up at Sheridan Beach the rest of the afternoon following boating with a bunch of his friends.
- Charlotte and I went to Kylee's graduation party (I forgot to take pictures - doh!).
