Paris Day 5 (Evening): The Eiffel Tower and Paris Nightlife
Friday Evening Part One: a picnic at the Eiffel Tower with a very special bottle of wine that James had brought from Seattle followed by a ride to the top. There were many people enjoying picnics and rest assured, if you had forgotten your own wine, there were men walking around with buckets of bottles of wine ready to sell it to you. We did see the police confiscate some of these. But then then sellers returned with more and at one point, we saw their trick was hiding bottles underneath utility grates as their stash. It was wild. The Eiffel Tower elevator ride to the top of the 1083’ structure was neat. At the top, it was very cold and windy. We did enjoy Moet from the mini champagne bar and the beauty of Paris below. I especially liked watching the boats on the river below. Friday Evening Part Two: we changed outfits again and went back to the trendy Andy Wahloo bar for superb cocktails and then to another club to go dancing after that, because… when in Paris! 22,900 steps
