USATF Junior Olympics - Nationals!

USATF Junior Olympics- Nationals for Charlotte! Discus, 114’, 13th place. The end of a fantastic season of hard work and progress!

We came to Savannah so that Charlotte could participate in USA Track & Field Junior Olympics, Nationals held on the campus of HBCU, Savannah State University. Despite waking up at essentially 2:45 AM Seattle time this morning and enduring heat and intense humidity that we are not accustomed to, Charlotte put together a great series of throws in the discus. Her best throw was 114' and that earned her 13th place out of 70 competitors and moving her up several spots.
Edison also qualified for this at the Regionals meet, but he didn't want to miss what he had going on in LFP.

The track meet was enormous, lasting the entire week and taking over a large portion of campus. We didn't have time to stay and take it all in, however, as we needed to get back to AC and Charlotte had to hop on her Drivers Ed zoom class after her throws were done.
Awesome job, Charlotte! We are so proud of your hard work and the achievements you have made from the start of this track season in March until this meet. 92' ---> 117'09"! What an incredible season!
